No matter what these lefties think, getting rid of this wasteful and unconstitutional law gives Canada some sense of normalcy and gets us back to our heritage and basis for which this country was founded. Most of these wingnut libbies and the Randy’s of the world are, in effect, Fascists for supporting this shit law. You are 100% correct. Chew on this lefties: Canadians do have the Right to Bear Arms.

Many Canadians believe that there is no Right of the citizen to keep arms for their own use and defense, like the US Second Amendment, in Canadian law. To those citizens, I would suggest a bit of reading up on our own history and legal framework. Our right to bear arms is not mentioned in recent documents such as the Constitution or Charter because it’s already stated elsewhere in Canadian law.

Our right to keep and bear arms in our own or the country’s defense comes from exactly the same place as the American one — English Common Law, the English Bill of Rights 1689, the writings of Sir William Blackstone in his Commentaries on English Law, and others. All these laws (and indeed the full body of English Law), became part of Canadian law on our Confederation in 1867 with the affirmation of the British North America (BNA) Act.

We have this Right, though our previous Liberal government attempted to suppress it and deny citizen’s their age-old right to self-defense with the egregious and unconstitutional (not to mention horrendously expensive) Firearms Act and other proposals.

It leads one to wonder why the government so wants an unarmed and defenceless populace. You have no intention to debate because you came unarmed to a battle of the wits. You have failed to demonstrate that the gun registry saves lives. You have also failed to demonstrate that this was nothing other than a hijacking of one issue with another.

I have no intent to “debate” the subject with you, since you are obviously beyond reason; mine were just passing comments, such one would make when you see a dog turd on the sidewalk- “look, it’s a dog turd!” It was a nice effort on your part to try shifting the focus to semantics though. I am no longer wallowing in your stupidity blog, so don’t be offended if you don’t hear from me again. Get some professional help, respect your weapon and have a nice life.

You said guns only murder things?

Well Randy the only ‘THING’ that can be murdered is another human. You can not murder animals. You can not murder inanimate objects.

So Randy you have shown a couple of ‘THINGS’ with your statement.

1) You have no respect for humanity by referring to us as ‘THINGS’
2) You have the intelligence of a gnat. An intellectual midget.

Tell me Ed, were you dropped on your head as a baby, or were you born without a brainstem? Do soem real research (not on the back pages of the NRA weekly) and find out if there are people in the world who don’t think that a gun, which to the best of my recollection has no other purpose than to murder things, is the same as a canopener or any other kitchen appliance. Please look at the numbers; e.g. how many people are shot in Canada vs USA in relation to the number of cowboys walking around with guns in their hands, how many domestic disturbancers end in death vs how many were because some retarded redneck who thinks killings things is a “rural way of life” an killed their wife?(in case you didn’t notice wives are generally women, not sheep or wharever you have shacked up with)?
The Montreal massacre is a perfect example of the kind of slow-witted hippocracy that trivializes womens’ issues while protecting the rights of idiots hiding behind the fact that they should have a right to slaughter lesser animals and be given the freedom to do the same to humans, as long as they promise not to do so on the honour system, as long as no-one pisses them off and women do what they are told, and they “respect” their weapons.
Given the fact that the victims of the montreal massacre were all women, slaughtered with a gun, I think you are the one hijacking the event, not PSAC. They have every right to this event; you are just trying to use it to protect your ability to own killing instruments.
